Dental Technology
The dental technology that we use at Robie Street Dental Centre, like digital and panoramic x-rays, helps us to provide efficient dental care to our patients.
Technologies at Our Clinic
The technology that we use at Robie Street Dental Centre helps to inform the planning of our treatment and makes your dental appointment more efficient. Since we are able to use our digital x-ray technology to display diagnostic images on monitors in our treatment rooms, our dentists are able to walk you through any issues in your mouth and your treatment plan to address them.
Our goal is to provide patients with efficient dental care, and make sure they are fully informed about their oral health. Dental technology helps us do that.
Digital X-Rays
Digital x-rays use digital sensors in place of traditional photographic x-ray film. They produce a highly detailed computer image of your gums and teeth in addition to other oral structures and conditions. This allows your dentist to examine parts of the mouth which aren't visible to the naked eye.
Panoramic X-Rays
Panoramic x-rays allow our dentists to create a single image of your whole mouth. This image serves as a flattened representation of your upper and lower jaws, teeth, nasal and sinus structures, and TMJ (temporomandibular joints). Panoramic x-rays are often used to help plan treatments for braces, dentures, implants and extractions.
